Favourite piece of tecnology

Hi everyone, today I’ll talk about one of my favourite piece of tecnology: my PS3.

The PlayStation 3 is a home console produced by Sony, the company that fabricated anothers playstations (one and two) and mp3, photography cameras, cell phones, etc.

The PS3 was released in 2006 in Japan and in 2007 in USA, but my grandma could buy this thing in christmas of 2013 (six years later :c). I don’t care about this, because my grandma could buy for me the best model of PS3: the console with 500 GB. I can play any game that I want!

I don’t have a lot of videogames because are very expensive. For example, a game with 3 years can cost $10.000, but a new game of this year can cost $50.000 or more. I have six videogames, and my favourite is The Last of Us, a game about zombies. Is awesome!

I’d like have to more videogames, because I love the graphics and the OS of Playstation 3. I don’t care for PS4.

Cheers!

Blogs for all!

Hi everyone, I wanna talk about my good experience writing in my blog.

For a long time I left speak and write in english, since I was in secondary school. I use to write guides and works in class or in my home, and I use to watch series without subtitles for a better pronunciation.

But when I started my carrier as journalism’s student I left all of this. Thanks of this english workshop I discovered again how I like this language. Is more easy than spanish and we can communicated with all people around the world!

I like write about things that I love, like cats, videogames and films. Write in my blog about this and to know about the things that my partners like it have a very nice exercise for practice english and meet each other.

Now, I feel my english is better than last year, and I’d like still practice for write more things in the future! Maybe I will leave Chile when I finish my carrier and latest studies, and write news or reports in english will give me a lot of jobs opportunities.

In the class, I think we must practice more oral english and some orthography, because this things must’n be forget.

Cheers (:

Las Vegas is an American city located in Nevada, and around the world is known like Sin City.  I want to go to this place because here all people are crazy!

This city has many casinos and 24-hour liquor stores, and deluxe hotels with different shows every night. You can play and drink all day and all night without any restriction inside the places, in the street you must walk and talk appropriately if you no to warn the police.

Also, Las Vegas has strip clubs and cabarets, ideal places for gentleman that seek enjoy and beauty woman in small clothes (don’t tell it anyone, but I want spend my money in one of this strip clubs).

But not all is money and sex. Las Vegas has museums: the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Neon museum and Mob museum. Also, Las Vegas Academy, a magnet school, teaches arts: music, dance, theatre, etc.

I know that I’d need a lot of money, but dream with meet this city (and Amsterdam) is free jaja.

Megadeth, thrash metal in the house

Hi everyone, this day I’ll talk about one of my favorite bands of heavy metal in the world: Megadeth. I listened to it for first time when I was 15, and these guys crushed my head.

This band borned in 1983, after the guitar player Dave Mustaine was expel from Metallica. The reasons of James Heatfield (guitar) and Lars Ulrich (drums) for this action were the self-destructive life of Mustaine, who was a junkie and alcoholic guy. In these years, drugs was the main reason for Mustaine was considerate a looser and no a guitar God.

Hate and anger were the cause of Dave wanted to make a new thrash metal band, more violent, speed and famous than Metallica (and he was success!), and he named it Megadeth.  He moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and with his new neighborhood, the bass player David Ellefson formed this band. In the future, they will be considerate one of the 4 bigs (four greatest band of American thrash metal).

In 1985 debuted the first album of Megadeth, and adopted the band mascot Vic Rattlehead, a guy with a skeletal figure who has his eyes covered metal visors, like a nuclear war survivor. In 1990 Dave and company makes a masterpiece: Rust in peace, an album with many lyrical themes like religion, fight against drugs, UFO conspiracy theories and Punisher, the antihero character of Marvel Comics.

Listen it  you want a make a great mosh! See you next week.

Ernesto Garratt is the law

Hi everyone, this day I will talk about Ernesto Garratt, a very important journalist and film critic in my country.

Ernesto Garratt Viñes was born in Santiago of Chile in 1972. When he was a child he gone to Iquique with his mom because she had money problems and many discussions with her family. So, he had a very hard childhood and adolescence. He never met his father, a peruvian men that runaway when he knew about his future son. A lot of rumors say that Garratt’s dad was killed in Peru by a mysterious gunslinger.

He came back to Santiago when he was 18 years old, because his dream was meet to great filmmakers and movie stars. The young Garratt was a sci-fi movies lover, and for these reasons he studied journalism in University of Chile.

Garratt worked in magazines like Wikén and Qué pasa, working still today for this last. Also he wrote for El Mercurio and La Tercera, the biggest newspapers in Chile. He interviewed personalities like Natalie Portman, Marin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Duncan Jones, Harrison Ford and Woody Allen, and many others. In 2012 he published his book ‘‘Tardes de Cine’’, a recompilation of his most important interviews. For finish, this man, who is jury in Cannes film Festival, was my teacher last year. He IS the man.

My little pets!

Hi everyone , today I will talk about my pets. I have a dog called Pelusa, and she is 12 years old. Yes, she is a very old dog, but she is still protecting my house like a young  pet. Pelusa is a mixed breed-dog, one part dachshund and cocker spaniel by other side. She’s so sweet and spoiled, a cheerful pet that doesn't hurt anyone. Also, she hunts cats, rats and birds no matter her age.

My other pet is my cat. She doesn't have a name, but my family calls her Loca. She is one year and eight months old (we adopted her last year), and she is like an hurricane!
Loca is a siamese cat and sometimes I think she’s really crazy. She hunts bugs and moths (once she gave me one), runs like the devil for my house, sleeps all day and in the night jumps on the sofa. She destroys all things in the way, but we love her a lot.

My last pet was Canito, a dachshund dog. He died last week, at the age of twenty years (yes, a very old dog). This little pet never was spoiled, but my mom loves him too much: he was her dog, her pet, her baby.

See you next Friday, bye bye.

Revolution

Hi guys. Today I tell you the story of how I met y…I’m kidding. I tell you the story of this picture.

I took this photo in 2011, when me and my partners decided to storming the school.  Last night I knew about a suffrage for validate the radicalization of the secondary students protest, and I had an idea of the destiny of Liceo de Aplicación.

So, the next morning I go to school and all the student body was agree with the action. The teachers, inspectors and the director were evacuated, our parents supported us and the student centre ordered us to deploy all our canvas with our emblem (LDA around laurels) and messages against the Piñera’s government.

I was taking pictures all day, because I wanted show to others emblematic schools, like Carmela Carvajal or Manuel Barros Borgoño, how we participated of the new student revolution in Chile.
See you next Friday!
